    Cruise Training Schedule

    Cargo Training Schedule

The CSA has been playing an outstanding role in the development and presentation of training programmes designed to raise and improve the standards of performance in all areas of Caribbean shipping – at the management and at the operations levels.

The CSA's 2010 training programme will see training courses and events offered in a number of countries across the Caribbean. This will include training events for the cruise industry; management seminars and other specialty courses prepared by the CSA Secretariat.

These training courses are all demand driven and, as such, the mentioned dates and locations are all subject to change. There is also the possibility of additional  training dates being added to the schedule.

The immediate training objective of the Benefiting from Cruise Tourism course is to improve the basic knowledge and understanding of Caribbean and Latin American Cruise destinations. The course addresses 'nuts and bolts' issues about the cruise industry generally and the Caribbean and Latin American cruise market in particular.  It also includes safety and security issues; destination promotion and development; as well as the impact and future of cruise tourism in the Caribbean and Latin American Region.  More on "Benefiting From Cruise Tourism" Course.

The Agency Management and Strategic Positioning course is designed to reposition the traditional ship agent and Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers within the new global logistics chain and to provide participants with the necessary agency management tools that are critical for success.  More on "Agency Management & Strategic Positioning".

In addition to training courses planned and presented by the CSA, the Puerto Rico Shipping Association (PRSA) has opened its year-long training programme to all CSA members and national associations.

I am interested in participating in a CSA Training Course. Please send me additional information.
